Honestly, I was so against training rats and actually having to interact with them, but I kind of grew to Blizzard. I thought it was really cool to be able to watch her learn to press the lever and get the treat after she has pressed it a certain amount of times. There wasn't anything too specific I didn't like other than actually touching the rat because it took me forever to get used to her and be able to get her out of her cage, but we made it. I don't really have any improvements to this course or experience, I actually grew to enjoy watching them learn and I just might use Blizzard again! The most surprising thing to learn was how quickly albino rats can learn and do things, pressing a lever might seem easy to a human but to a rat, it is probably a lot more challenging at the beginning. I didn't have any misconceptions about the rats or anything, so I think we are good. I'm sad to see Blizzard go, but another part of me is happy that I don't have to wake up early Monday-Friday to train and pick her up!
